Congratulations to Mersey Waste Limited

Mersey Waste Limited scooped the 2008 FreightWise Award which was presented at the Merseyside Annual Transport Conference on 23rd October. Mersey Waste have introduced Fuel Economy Awards which are awarded monthly to those drivers with the most improve miles per gallon on their vehicles. The company has experienced great savings in fuel. A case study to illustrate their success is currently being compiled and will be posted on this website.

Merseyside Transport Awards Categories Announced

The Partnership have announced the Transport Award Categories which include a FreightWise Award for the best freight initiative, TravelWise Organisation for the best travel plan and TravelWise Award for the best overall sustainable transport initiative. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 14th October 08. The winners will be announced at the Merseyside Transport Conference to be held in the Town Hall on 23^rd October 08. Superports Prospectus is Launched

The Superports Prospectus has been launched by The Mersey Partnership.  The document examines the potential for the City Regions expansion to become a globally successfully SuperPort, building on its location, status as a Freeport, its air, road and rail links, maratime skills and existing role as a logistics cluster.  The prospectus can be downloaded from  The Mersey Partnership website.
