Welcome to the web pages for TravelWise Childwall Project!
Childwall has been chosen for an exciting new TravelWise project. During August and September this year TravelWise will be visiting households in Childwall to talk about travel.
The idea is to help people find out if there are smarter ways of travel that can benefit them, such as, saving money, helping them get fitter or being less stressful. At the same time, they may be able to do their bit to help the environment through reducing carbon emissions and easing congestion to help make the roads safer.

It may be that you have been thinking about making a switch from your car to the bus or train, but just do not know where to catch the bus or at what time! Or perhaps you're keen to start walking or cycling for some journeys but are unsure of the best routes or where to get your bike checked out.
The scheme is completely free - it is part of the TravelWise campaign and it couldn't be easier to take part, just a 10 minute chat. One of the Travel Team will call round to see if we can help, then we will bring you a tailor made package of support including free travel and money saving offers - there's even a prize draw too!
CHALLENGES
We will also be giving Childwall residents the chance to take part in our TravelWise Challenge. The idea is simple: over the course of a month, we challenge you to see if you can increase your sustainable travel, perhaps at the same time as reducing the amount you use your car.
We hope that by experimenting with new travel choices you may find some benefits, such as saving money, getting a bit more active, or perhaps enjoying less stressful journeys.
When you've completed the challenge you will have the option to be entered into a prize draw giving you the chance to win one of the following prizes:
- Capital of Culture event tickets
- A family meal voucher
- Free swimming sessions at the Aquatics centre
- Other great prizes

Anyone living in the Childwall area is entitled to the free travel service so give us a call or look out for one of the TravelWise team in a street near you. They will be wearing a red TravelWise uniform and carrying an ID badge and business cards.
