Car Clubs

Car clubs offer the smart alternative to car ownership.  Many organisations spend a significant amount on pool cars, company cars and taxis to enable their employees to move between sites and attend meetings.  A car club can provide a more efficient, and therefore cheaper, way of using vehicles.

Car clubs give residents and businesses access to a car for essential journeys without the need to own one.  This means that members don't have to pay insurance, tax, petrol or maintenance costs.  Vehicles are parked in reserved parking spaces, close to homes or workplaces.

Research shows that car club members who previously owned a car reduce their overall travel and cut their car mileage by more than half, making greater use of public transport, cycling and walking.  One car club vehicle replaces up to six private cars. WhizzGo operates the Liverpool Car Club.  Register your details on line at www.whizzgo.co.uk or by phoning 0870 44 66 000.  You will be sent a smart card and a PIN.  There is a one off cost to join with no monthly or annual fees.  Driving is charged per hour, with discounted rates for businesses or frequent users of the scheme. The hourly rates include all costs usually associated with car ownership.
